International Civil Aviation Navigation Office Organization (ICAO) and as part of a courtesy visit to Banjul Accord Group Accident Investigation Agency (BAGAIA) and other organizations in the Republic of Cape Verde, during the 21st to 24th of January, the Institute for Prevention and Investigation of Aeronautical and Maritime Accidents (IPIAAM), participated in multilateral meetings with the Deputy Director of Monitoring, Analysis and Coordination (MAC), the commissioner of BAGAIA and the General Director of Aircraft Accident & Incident Investigation & Prevention Bureau (AIB) of Ghana, also receiving the delegation at IPIAAM and, subsequently, a visit to the AAC was carried out.

During the meeting with IPIAAM, current topics of common interest were discussed, regarding the areas of Research and Operational Security and other issues related to security throughout the system in Cape Verde, as a way to stimulate exchange and synergy between these Institutions, which resulted in the sharing of knowledge, as well as the joint analysis of projects in the field of Civil Aviation that could benefit the country and the African sub-region.
